VINEYARD AND WINEMAKING:

This wine were planted in 1947 and are still going strong. Grapes were hand-harvested at 2 am on August 28, 2024, and then whole-cluster pressed to stainless steel vat for two days of cold settling. The clarified juice was then racked to a 250-liter Clayver Luna ceramic globe (enhancing freshness) and neutral French oak barrels (enhancing opulence) for fermentation. Following completion of primary fermentation, the wine was racked into 2 two-year-old Gauthier French oak barrels for sur lies aging for six months with periodic stirring. A partial malolactic fermentation  was conducted in barrel.

 

The wine was bottled on March 27, 2025.
